Dexter Mowatt’s interest in camera operating and editing started at a very young age, when he regularly filmed and edited short videos that attracted the attention of television stations such as Spike TV and Bravo.  One of his sold clips has been shown around the world, and featured on ‘The world’s most amazing videos 2’.  At age 16 he was Co-Director and Co-Editor along with Scott Peters, on a winning Oxy Spot advert; the ad received regular terrestrial and satellite TV play for many months.

Dexter went on to train at the Metropolitan Film School, based at Ealing Studios, London, where his passion for film and depth and breadth of knowledge grew immensely.

Upon graduating Dexter recognised the need for a cost effective one-stop solution for film, post-production work and equipment hire.  Thus in 2007 Dexfilms Ltd. was created.

Since the company’s inception, Dexfilms Ltd. has produced  various music videos, corporate videos, web virals and documentaries for clients such as Pentel, VCCP Advertising Agency and Maximum Exposure Productions, many of which Dexter filmed, directed and edited. 

Dexter has recently written, produced and directed a feature film entitled ‘Protection’. The film is currently in post-production stages.
